This document has been written for senior leadership teams and teachers with responsibility for target-setting for classes and subjects in primary schools and subjects in secondary schools.
It provides a brief overview on the role of members of staff, leadership teams and governors in ensuring a robust but manageable process for setting school targets. Guidance is provided on a quality assurance approach to in-school processes via a series of checklists with prompts for key professional groups to use within schools.
