Welcome to the fourth DreamExtreme podcast episode for the 2008/2009 school year! Our fifth grade students have spent the past couple of weeks reading the book "Love That Dog" by Sharon Creech. The book contains references to many different poems, and our class has looked at, thought about, and responded to many of them.
This podcast features five poems written by DreamExtreme students in response to the poem "Dog" by Valerie Worth. Each poem features a different animal.A very fun part of our in-class activities is that we are collaborating with the South Paris Collaborative class from Long Island, New York. Students from the two classes have been working together online using a wiki, and in real time using Skype video conferencing.

Another significant project that the DreamExtreme crew have been hard at work on is the Ancient Chinese Innovations project.
Students were required to research a self-selected element of ancient Chinese culture, focusing on innovations or inventions. They then prepared a display of some sort, a presentation, and a research abstract.
Several students present their research abstracts in this episode of DreamExtreme.
