Find My Missing Numbers
The fourth App in our number series focuses on finding missing numbers on number lines. This App is designed for younger children aged 3+ and is a fun way to identify missing numbers on a number line and to reinforce the order of numbers. Number lines cover the range 1 – 10 and 11 – 20 as well as a random range of 10 number.
There are three challenges:
- Challenge 1 - Find the missing numbers presented in the range 1 – 10 on the number line.
- Challenge 2 - Find the missing numbers presented in the range of 11 – 20 on the number line.
- Challenge 3 - Find the missing numbers within a random range of 10 numbers, set between 2 and 20.
The App is intuitive to use - when prompted, tap the target number location.
After initial learning with an adult, younger children can then progress to independent learning. App settings can be changed to vary the level of difficulty and tailor the challenges to the child's current stage of learning.
As with our other number Apps, settings are provided to:
- Vary the level of difficulty (easier/medium/harder)
- Include a range guide to help with the challenges (good for youngest learners)
- Toggle the auto-correct feature on/off (leave off for older learners)
- Switch on/off the number range guides.
In addition, the App can be personalised with a child's name, snapshots can be taken and shared via the photo album or sent by email as an attachment.

- Top image - finding missing numbers in the 1 – 10 number line with the guide range at the easier level of difficulty

Technical Information
Find My Missing Numbers has been designed for the iiPad, iPad 2 and the new iPad, running iOS 4.3 to iOS 6. The current App version is 1.3. The App is completely self-contained and only requires access to the internet if you choose to send an email with an attached screenshot. Screenshots can also be saved into the iPad photo album.
